About Me:
My interest in Play Therapy stems from 26 years of teaching in the Early Childhood field, working with and supporting children as they grow, mature and develop through the magic of a play-based learning curriculum. Children and families I have connected with are my biggest influence in becoming a Play Therapist. I am in awe of the importance of play as a learning tool and as a mechanism for growth and development.
I have worked closely with families in helping them understand how young children’s brains develop and support families in gaining a better understanding of their child and how they are making sense of their world.
I believe that when young children feel safe, heard and seen, they develop their internal sense of self and gain confidence in how they navigate challenges in their world.
