About Me:
Hi there,
My name is Katy Pryde, and I stumbled across Kylie Ellison in my first year at Uni, studying for a degree in counselling and coaching at ACAP in Brisbane. Kylie was there to show us the powerful modality of child-centred play therapy, which spoke to my 16+ years as a childcare educator and director; I was drawn to this approach as I've always enjoyed working with children. I completed CCPT training with Kylie and have worked as an outreach play therapist for the last year.
I am also a counsellor and coach, working with families experiencing difficulties navigating neurodiversity. As a therapist who experiences the spiciness of ADHD herself, it is easy to understand why these families and individuals are my wheelhouse.
I work on the Gold Coast and lower Brisbane areas.
